Come 19:00 it was the turn of the men, as Zenit KAZAN took
on Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA with the Russians looking to make it
five Champions League titles in a row

Over 9,000 spectators travelled from across the world to
watch the first ever Super Finals

In the first, KAZAN were very much in the ascendancy leading
from start to finish (25-16)

In the second, legendary Brazillian Setter Bruno took control and opening up more options for his attacked

Much to the delight of the thousands of travelling Italians who pushed their team to level the match 1-1 (25-15)

All square at 1-1 and it looked like we were in for close conclusion, but Lube seemed to find another gear

Storming to the 3rd set (25-12), with JUANTORENA showing his class - scoring 12 spikes and ending up with the MVP award

With a significant lead, the Italians looked like they had it in the bag but a long service run from Earvin Ngapeth made things closer

Taking their first Champions League title since 2002,
Lube came through the fourth set 25-19

Enjoying the moment, the Lube players thanked their
support who were loud throughout

Sitting with their trophy and with 400,000 EUR prize money in their pockets all they can do now is reflect on a job well done
